St. Christopher, the first Caribbean island to be permanently settled by both the English and the French (who shared the island between 1627 and 1713 ), was a model and a springboard for English and French colonialism in the Caribbean and elsewhere.

'Resumption of Annual General Meeting'

Members are hereby notified that the Annual General Meeting of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society, held at the offices of the Society, Matheson House, Taylor’s Range, Basseterre on Thursday 22nd November 2012 and which was adjourned, shall be resumed on Thursday 31st January 2013 at 4:30 pm.

The Agenda for the resumed meeting will be as follows:

1. Reading of notice resuming the meeting
2. Auditor’s Report for the period 1 May 2011 to 30 April 2012
3. Treasurer’s Report for the period 1 May 2011 to 30 April 2012
4. Election of Officers
5. Appointment of Auditors for the period 2013
6. Any other Business

Members should ensure that their subscriptions are paid up to date so that they can participate fully in this important meeting.
