St. Christopher, the first Caribbean island to be permanently settled by both the English and the French (who shared the island between 1627 and 1713 ), was a model and a springboard for English and French colonialism in the Caribbean and elsewhere.

  • Brimstone Hill Fit and Fearless Run: Saturday 21 September 7-10 am. Registration ends Friday 13 September 4 pm. Late registration ends Tuesday 17 September 3 pm.
  • Sunset Recital with the Defence Force Band: Sunday 22 September 4 pm at the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. Admission FREE.
  • St. Thomas/St. Anne Heritage Trail Schools Logo Competition: DEADLINE Tuesday 10 September before 1 pm. Open to students of the Tyrell Williams Primary School, Verchilds High School, Sandy Point Primary School and Charles E. Mills Secondary School.
