St. Christopher, the first Caribbean island to be permanently settled by both the English and the French (who shared the island between 1627 and 1713 ), was a model and a springboard for English and French colonialism in the Caribbean and elsewhere.
'St. Thomas/St. Anne Heritage Trail Town Hall Meeting'

Calling all community members of the parishes of St. Thomas and St. Anne, from Old Road to Fig Tree, from our youth to our elders. Be part of an exciting new community based initiative, the St. Thomas/St. Anne Heritage Trail. This project will showcase the unique heritage of one of the most historically significant regions in the Eastern Caribbean. To learn more attend our first town hall meeting at the St. Anne Anglican Church Hall, Sandy Point on Thursday 4th July 2013. That's right, this Thursday, be there to find out how you can participate in and shape this historic project.
